MISSION STATEMENT
"Promoting education and empowerment for the nurturing and healing of OUR community”

YaaKofiAma Nia House is a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to
promoting education and empowerment for the nurturing and healing of people of
African descent.  The objectives of YaaKofiAma Nia House are reflected in its
activities and projects which include to:

1) develop and implement interactive educational programs, events and activities
which fulfill specific needs within the community;

2) design programs and activities for youth, adults, and senior citizens, which enhance
the quality of life for participants;

3) provide a support mechanism for individuals and families seeking information
regarding social services issues, as well as information regarding African/African
American cultural specific issues;

4) host and/or sponsor activities and events which promote the heritage and cultural
pride which is indispensable to the feelings of inclusion and stability viable to
community involvement;

5) create a global network designed to address issues affecting all people of African
ancestry throughout the Diaspora to the continent of Africa; and

6) collaborate with organizations with similar goals and visions of making life better
for people of African descent.
